Late this evening by majority vote, Starfleet Command decided to join AJJE Games. This change will take effect on October 1, 2005.
For those of you who may be concerned with this announcement I assure there is no need to be. AJJE Games is a brand new organization created by myself and the other members of Starfleet Command. AJJE Games will create a collection of Science Fiction RPGs using a similar style and organization as SFHQ. RPGs that are members of AJJE Games will benefit from its posting system as well as combined Webmaster Support. AJJE Games will have ownership over the RPGs, but the day-to-day operations and control will continue to lie with the actual leaders of the specific RPG. SFHQ will have the unique opportunity to be the cornerstone of a larger organization with unlimited possibilities. AJJE Games expects to welcome the second RPG into its organization by the end of 2005.
When I first created SFHQ I was determined to make it a creative and all-inclusive Star Trek experience. With the help of all of you, we have accomplished this goal. Unlike most Star Trek RPGs on the net, SFHQ offers Starfleet sims in multiple centuries, a Klingon ship, Romulan ship, and a Federation Embassy. Starfleet Command and I are committed to our efforts to elevate SFHQ to the next level. This move to join AJJE Games will have very little actual impact on SFHQ or its day-to-day business. We will still act under the Guiding Principles and continue to move towards elections in January.
A professor in business school once told me, if you think and act big two things could happen. Either you fall flat on your face, or you rise to levels you never thought you could. AJJE Games is thinking big, and I am sure with your help we can only rise to new levels.
